Created in 1936, the Lussac-Saint-Emilion AOC is home to numerous historical monuments. However, its modern red wines, that are generous, powerful and complex, yet always elegant, are making headlines these days. The Lussac-Saint-Emilion is like a theatre, with excellent southern sun exposure. It has ideal natural drainage and allows for quality blends. Families make up the majority of the winegrowers. They offer wines blended with Merlot (60% of vines planted), like the Saint-Emilion region. Cabernet-Franc is also in its element (30%).
