This wine is an 11 barrel blend from two vineyards in close proximity, with each contributing markedly different components to the blend. Inlet Vineyard (Clones 6, 777 and 115) has provided the backbone of perfumed red and black berry fruit found in the wine as well as some of the silky tannins, whereas the fruit from Black Rabbit Vineyard (Clones 5 and 115) has provided more dark fruit, including some of the forest floor elements as well as good structure and mid palate mouthfeel.
