Alex Gambal Mersault 2006 - Burgundy Chardonnay This Cromin comes from magnificent 65+ years "selection massale" vines that are not the uniform producing cloned variety but are twisted, beautiful and produce small tiny berries. There are also a few Muscat or "Muscat Chardonnay" plants intermingled that give the wine its exotic nose. Jean Vesselle - Oeil de Perdrix - Champagne Rosé Pinot Noir This is a fine "Blanc de Noir Champagne". It is reminiscent of the full-bodied, amber coloured Champagnes of yesteryar. It is fresh and upfront, with enough character to accompany a meal. It is an ideal introduction to wines from other regions. Domaine Bellegarde - La Pierre Blanche - Jurançon sec 70% Petit Manseng, 30% Gros Manseng This wine arises from old vineyards ( 50 - 60 years) of gros Manseng and from the first sortings of petit Manseng. The soil, on argilo-muddy ground, is exposed the South and so offer a maximum period of sunshine. A blend of 20% Gros Manseng from old vines (50 to 60 years) with 80% of early harvested grapes of Petit Manseng on a silt-clay soil, facing south and thus getting maximum sunshine. Lemon aroma with subjacent oak. Well-balanced and lively palate with strength. Notes of citrus fruits and peach. Oberbergen Pinot Noir Reserve 2005 - Baden Pinot Noir Obebergen is a premier producer of German Pinot which receives several national and international awards each year. WG Oberbergen was founded in 1924 and is named after the village in which it is located. It has produced outstanding Pinots for over 80 years. Oberbergen wines are served in premier hotels throughout Germany and can be found in select wine stores. The Reserve shows some minerality in the nose and mouth and is balanced in the mouth with attractive red fruits. Château Tournefeuille 2006 - Lalande de Pomerol 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet franc Nice open nose which will lead you to mild and harmonious palate. Spicy bouquet with some complex ripe black fruit, very attractive. Fine palate. full bodied Neighbour from the Famous - Château Petrus in Pomerol Château Montdoyen - Montbazillac 80% Semillon, 10% Sauvignon, 10% Muscadelle Golden colour, this is rich and sweet, yet with good balancing acidity. It has now matured to show quite some complexity, with tones of seville orange marmalade, honey and apricots which linger on the palate.
